WEATHER CANCELLATION PROCEDURES:

If your street is canceled due to weather, THAT DAY will be rescheduled. HA5 is applied in daily installations for a total of two coats. All other days will proceed as scheduled. You will receive notification of your new closure date prior to the newly rescheduled date. You will not receive a cancellation notice (if we have removed the barricades, you can bring your cars back in), and you will not receive immediate notice of your new date. If you require earlier notification of your rescheduled closure date, please call the number, and we will be happy to let you know of any approved dates. We make every effort to perform the work the day it is scheduled, weather permitting.

Please note that you will receive a notification posted at your residence 48-72 hours in advance of your street closure.

WHY ARE MY ROADS CLOSING?

Holbrook Asphalt will be performing street maintenance in your area on behalf of the City of Hutto. The product being applied is a High Density Mineral Bond called HA5. The treatment will help significantly extend the life of the streets. The benefits of properly maintained streets include higher property values, a smoother/safer ride, and reduced costs to the community by prolonging the need for replacement

WHAT IF MY CAR IS PARKED ON A ROAD THAT IS CLOSED?

Work will commence from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. A tow truck will be called for any cars parked on the streets scheduled to be treated that day. Please do not park within 50 feet of any street being worked on. Towing expenses will be the owner’s responsibility.

WHAT IF I DRIVE ON THE ROAD WHILE CLOSED?

You will be liable for damage to your vehicle and to repair the area of the road you have driven on. The minimum repair cost is $750 to repair the installed surface treatment. In the event of a life-threatening emergency, emergency vehicles will not be stopped from driving on the treated surface.

SHUTTLE SERVICE

A shuttle service is being provided for your convenience from 7am until 7pm while the streets are being treated. The shuttle will take you to/from your car. The shuttle service driver’s ability to recognize the curing stage of the newly installed surface treatment and the lighter weight vehicle makes this service possible.

To reach the shuttle please call TBD.  The shuttle number will be available to take your call beginning at 7am on your closure day. Please make arrangements 30 minutes in advance whenever possible.

SHUTTLE DISCLAIMER: There are times when the entire roadway is simply not available for any travel whatsoever and the golf cart will not be able to perform the service until the proper amount of curing has taken place. We appreciate your cooperation as we work to improve your roadways.

ALL OUTSIDE WATER MUST BE TURNED OFF

Water may damage the installation of the surface treatment. Please do not have sprinklers, hoses, etc. set to come on 24 hours before the road closure, during the road closure, or 24 hours after the road closure. Damage due to outdoor water use will result in the same minimum repair cost of $750 to repair the installed surface treatment.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

A: If your street is scheduled on your trash collection day, we have arranged for an early pickup. Please put your can out the night before, so that it can be collected prior to 7am.
